2 for the price of 1 this time just to show how (re)mixing changed over the years. The first is a Roxette megamix made in 1992 for DMC. The second is The Rox medley from 2006. The tracks used in both mixes are the same but where the 1992 mix is true to all originals the 2006 version is more an upbeat dance track. Still the music and vocals are recognizable and ultimately roxette.
Tracks in both mixes are:
It must have been love
Listen to your heart
The look
Joyride
Fading like a flower (Everytime you leave)

Great 12 inch with a ballad on the A-side and an uptempo disco track on the other side. The version of "Cherish" is the US remix which I wasn't able to track down on CD yet. Same goes for the "Fresh / Misled" medley on the other side. I recorded them both from 12 inch and they are both in the zip file.

Time Bandits - Endless Road

Time Bandits were big during the early 80's and had a string of hits from Europe to America. They made 2 succesfull albums and then the band slowly disappeared. Releasing a third album in 1987 but that one wasn't very succesfull. This track "Endless Road" is from their second album "Fiction" and is my favourite track from this Dutch band. When you download the zip file you will find 2 different 12" versions. The original extended version and the High energy dance mix by Ben Liebrand. For more information about this Dutch DJ please see http://www.liebrand.nl/ .

Ottawan - D.I.S.C.O.

One of the first 12"s I ever bought. A track from 1979 so almost 30 years old. Time flies when you're having fun. Here it is presented in both the English and French versions. The English version plays just as the french version for a little over 7 minutes. The label has a playing time for 5 minutes and that seems to be the common playing time for that version. So the version that you can download here is a bit rare. I hope you enjoy them.

Forrest - One Lover (Don't stop the show)

After his megahit "Rock the boat" Forrest released some more disco tracks like "Feel the need" , "Dancing With My Shadow" and "One Lover (Don't stop the show)" this track was remixed in New York by Eric Matthew, who tried hard to get the same flow and feeling to this track as on "Rock the boat". And to be honest he succeeded to a great lenght at that. I recorded and cleaned both the 12 inch mix and the dub mix. I hope you like this first 12 inch on my new blog.
